Art Show

This was my first time ever working with watercolor paints! It was so hard!!

Every year, the Springville Art Museum has a State High School Art Show. Only Juniors and Seniors can enter pieces and I am now in that category. My teacher's been talking about it for a while, encouraging anyone who can to enter something. I've been thinking about it and I have stuff I can enter, but I don't know if it's good enough to make it in. If it doesn't it's not a big deal, but I have no idea what to submit. I have my Chuck Close-esque painting, water color paintings of Oreo, my dog, and an illuminated Bible page... Does anyone have an opinion to help me decide? I can enter them all, but I don't want to waste the judges, my teacher's and my time!

Art Exchange

My studio teacher just gave us a new assignment that I'm really excited for! We are going to be exchanging 5 index cards with an art class somewhere in South Carolina... I think! We voted on the theme "Lost." I don't really know what I'm going to put on the cards but I'll think of something! So, we send 5 cards with "Lost" on half of them using whatever medium we want and they send us 5 cards with whatever theme their class decided on. Then we respond to their cards and they respond to ours, not knowing what eachother's themes are! In the end, we get out original cards back so we can keep them!

Babysitting Dylan!

I was working on homework and Dylan decided he wanted to build a fort around me! First, he piled pillows around me then knocked on the door so he could come in. He soon realized we were missing something; "Where's the roof?" He decided to put a blanket on top of us, including my computer (the creepy blue glow on my face in the picture!)!

Weird...

I had never seen an onion doing this before! It kinda scared me at first, then I asked my mom and found out it was normal!!

New Year's Eve!!

This is the stage outside the Salt Palace. There were some amazing bands! My favorites were the Toy Bombs and Muscle Hawk!

In a ballroom in the Salt Palace there were hundreds of blow up balls! These balls were flying everywhere! We went to the front, where there was a DJ, and starting throwing balls and dancing! So fun!

Oh my gosh, it took forever to get a picture of one of the jumpers in the air! I have so many that are just blurs or nothing because the timing is so hard to get right!

There was a snowboard/ski ramp next to the Salt Palace with a DJ! Way fun!

This year I went to EVE with some of my friends! It was SO fun! We went at 6:30 and I thought there would never be enough to keep us entertained until past midnight but there was!! For a little while we went to the Art Center also. All their galleries were open, they had a craft room to make collages and karaoke!! I also have a video of some fire dancers but for some reason no videos will upload! I'll try again some other day!
