My mom gave each of my siblings and I a senior trip for graduation and I chose New York City for mine! We left a few days after graduation and stayed for one week in the Hotel Edison, just off Times Square. We went to MOMA, the Frick Collection Museum, the Met, the Nueue Gallery, the Natural History Museum, Central Park, a harbor cruise around the Statue of Liberty, the Whitney Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the New York Aquarium, Coney Island and more! It was seriously one of the most amazing experiences of my life!!
I definitely want to go back, soon, now, forever!! haha

First thing we do in New York... Go to a museum!! MOMA was amazing! I loved seeing art that I have only seen images of and it is completely different in person! There was an exhibit of Cindy Sherman, one of my favorite feminist artists, I saw Magritte, Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse, I can't even finish naming them because there were so many ridiculously amazing things!!!

Little Italy was so great! This is my mom and I eating at Caffe Napoli, which had such amazing food!! We also got awesome pashmina scarfs so cheap compared to the price in Utah!
We also did a harbor cruise on the Hudson River, complete with an awesome dinner, live band, New York sunset, and beautiful sites! I highly recommend this if anyone goes to New York!
There really are police on horses in Times Square!! Also, my mom and I ate breakfast at The Roxy in front of them most of the mornings! It has awesome food, a great environment, and caricatures on the walls of celebrities that are very creative.
Grand Central Station
The Metropolitan Museum of Art!! I've been told I would be overwhelmed by the amount of art in the Met and I never believed anyone until I went in. We spent most of a day here and I still only think we saw maybe a quarter of their collection.
They have such amazing pieces though and I can't wait to go back and explore more!

We went to the New York Aquarium. It was really cool to see the variety of aquatic animals they house there compared to the other aquariums I've been to.
